Meet The Chicago Couple Featured In Hitched’s New Men’s Engagement Ring Line: Chris + Jeff

With the announcement of our new men’s engagement ring collection, we are so excited to share with you the story of real Chicago #HitchedCouple Chris and Jeff, the local couple featured in our Chicago men’s engagement ring campaign. We met the engaged couple when they stopped into Hitched Chicago as they began looking for the perfect men’s wedding bands!

Chris and Jeff met when Chris was visiting friends and family in Chicago. Chris spotted Jeff from across the bar and approached him with a subtle pickup line: “Cheers!” After a period of long-distance dating, Chris moved back to Chicago to be with Jeff. They now fill their days together with their dog Ziggy, the beaches of Lake Michigan and the endless street festivals that Chicago offers.

At the end of 2020, Chris decided it was time to propose to Jeff. Wanting it to be memorable and special, he proposed on Jeff’s favorite day of the year: Christmas! Surrounded by Jeff’s family in Memphis, Tennessee, Chris gathered the entire family in a room to teach everyone a new game. Instead, Chris surprised Jeff with a speech and an unexpected present: a gift-wrapped Hitched home try-on kit with a note that said “Will You Marry Me?”. On top of having him try on the wedding bands in the kit, Chris and Jeff set up an appointment to look at more rings in the Chicago showroom. Flash forward 6 months later, and they’re the official couple behind our new men’s engagement ring collection here in Chicago!

About The Hitched Men’s Engagement Collection: Classic and Elegant Diamond Engagement Rings For Men

Offered exclusively in-store, the Hitched men’s engagement line features a gorgeous collection of timeless ring styles that can be set with either a stunning solitaire or trio of diamonds. Diamonds not your style? You may opt to customize your engagement ring with a meaningful gemstone or pick from a more modern option such as black spinel or moissanite. 

Step 1: Pick your profile

Our engagement rings come in 3 different profiles: Classic, Flat, and Bezel. Classic a very traditional and timeless option, Bezel leans towards a modern vibe, and flat gives off a hint of both. Each of our profiles is made in comfort fit, so you can’t go wrong!

Step 2: Choose your engagement ring color

Like most engagement rings, our options come in 14k White, Yellow or Rose Gold and Platinum. If you are unsure which metal is right for you, read up on our metals here. 

Step 3: Choose your setting

How many stones is too many stones? At Hitched, you can choose either a solitaire (one stone) or trio (three stones) option. 

Step 4: Pick your stones

Traditionally, engagement rings contain diamonds. We understand no one person is the same, which is why we are happy to offer a variety of options for stones in our engagement rings! Add any birthstone to our engagement rings, or pick a moissanite stone to create the look of a diamond without breaking the bank.

The Chicago Vendor Dream Team

To bring our men’s engagement collection to life, authenticity was key. We featured a real local engaged couple and rounded up a dream team of local inclusive Chicago wedding vendors to make magic happen. With help from Clover Events & Productions, the planning of the shoot was seamless and Nikole Marie Photography perfectly captured our vision. Jeff sported the 14K Gold Flat Solitaire 6mm in White Gold along with the SuitShop’s textured grey suit. Chris rocked the 14K Yellow Gold Gold Classic Trio 4mm engagement ring that perfectly accented the brilliant blue suit. Accompanied by boutonnieres from Sacred by ChrisReneé and stationery from Emery Ann Design, the engagement line officially came to life. Thank you vendors!
