A guide to our engagement ring settings

A single center diamond on a plain band. The most recognizable engagement ring setting there is, and the one that puts the most attention on the stone. If you're unsure which style to pick for your partner, a solitaire makes a great choice due to its classic look and versatility.

The band arches up to meet the center stone, like the vaulted arches the setting is named for. It adds extra support to the setting, and helps balance out the weight of the ring on your finger.

A protective layer of metal wraps the full edge of the diamond instead of holding it with prongs. Bezel settings are the most secure option we make, they don't catch on clothing or hair, and they suit anyone who works with their hands. Our Signature Heirloom Bezel offers a chunkier bezel look with prongs for those seeking a vintage feel with their ring.

A ring of small diamonds sits on the gallery rail underneath the center stone, invisible from above but catching light from the side. You get extra sparkle and the illusion of a larger center stone without the visible ring of stones that defines a traditional halo.

A center diamond flanked by two smaller side stones - often pears, marquises, or rounds. The side stones widen the ring's width on the finger and add carat weight for less than an equivalent increase in the center stone.

Buying an engagement ring online

It ships fully insured. Every order travels insured and requires a signature. You'll get tracking before it leaves.

The packaging is discreet. Nothing on the outside of the box identifies what's inside or names the sender as a jeweler.

You get documentation. An IGI or GIA grading report for the center stone, and an insurance appraisal completed by Brite before the ring ships so you can add it to a policy the day it arrives.

You can still see it first. Email help@tryhitched.com and we'll bring the ring into our Philadelphia, Washington DC, or Chicago showroom.

How fast can I get an in stock engagement ring?

Every ring on this page ships within seven business days of your order. That window lets our team complete your complimentary insurance appraisal, inspect the setting, and pack the ring properly. Once it ships, it arrives the next day to the address on file.

If you have a hard deadline — a flight, a dinner reservation, a specific date — email help@tryhitched.com after you order. We will work to accomodate your deadline as best we can!

Ready-made engagement rings are fully finished engagement rings that are already in stock and available to purchase without waiting for a ring to be made. Each Hitched ready-made engagement ring includes a specific setting and center diamond, so you can choose your favorite and order it online (or in person) for a faster delivery timeline than a made-to-order or custom engagement ring.

All in-stock engagement rings will ship within 7 business days of placing your order. This allows our team time to complete your complimentary insurance appraisal and pack your order with care! Once the ring ships, it will arrive next day to the address on file.

All rings come with one complimentary resize. Please note that if you would like us to resize the ring BEFORE shipping, you should reach out to us right after placing your order to let us know which size you would like the ring to be. If you would like to resize the ring after the proposal, we can certainly do so. The resize itself will be free, however you must pay $100 to cover the cost of insured shipping both ways.

We ship all of our engagement rings in discreet outer cardboard boxes to ensure your surprise proposal does not get ruined!

None of our in-stock pieces can be customized beyond a resize. However, you can use our Signature Builder to design your own, or book an appointment with us to chat through your ideas with one of our Sales Associates.
