Renderings vs. Reality

The hardest part of designing a custom engagement ring is not knowing what you're going to get. We solve that in two simple and exciting steps.

3D CAD Renderings. After you pay your deposit and complete your design consultation, we produce high-resolution renderings and a formal quote. The renderings show your setting from multiple angles — the profile, the gallery underneath, how a wedding band will look up against it, and more. You'll see proportions and metal finish before any metal is cast.

A Wax Model You Can Wear. Once the renderings are approved, we produce a wax model of the setting in your ring size. You can try it on, which helps you visualize what the piece will look like once completed.

Your ring will enter production once the final renderings are approved and any balance is paid.

Hitched custom engagement ring settings start at $2,499. The final cost of the setting is oftentimes more than $2,499, and is dependent on the type and amount of metal/stones being used in the design.

It's always best to provide your Hitched associate with an ideal budget for the setting so that we can design a ring you love at a price you feel comfortable with.

In order to get started with the custom design process, we require a full payment on your center stone as it heavily influences the rest of the design. We also require the minimum setting price of $2,499 to be paid upfront.

The custom process on average takes about 60-90 days and can move faster or slower based on the amount of revisions needed on the design and how quickly you are able to view your wax mold.

At this time, Hitched will only work with heirloom diamonds or gemstones that are currently in their original settings. Hitched does not work with any loose diamonds or gemstones unless they have been purchased at Hitched.

Our process includes high-resolution 3D CAD renderings along with the option to see a wax mold of the setting - all ahead of putting the ring into production. This gives you the ability to visualize your setting in person before it's set in stone.

We are able to create almost any design you can think of, as long as it's durable enough for everyday wear, and the stones required are able to be sourced. As a general rule, we don't recommend using any stones under 8 on mohs hardness scale.

Yes. Our Signature Builder lets you choose your setting, metal, and center stone from our existing designs - personalized, but faster and typically less expensive than a full custom commission. Engraving is available on both.
