Platinum is a rare metal and holds a level of prestige. Similar to gold, Platinum is also a precious metal and maintains its value over the years. It also is soft and prone to scratching. Over time, Platinum rings will develop a patina finish giving them a vintage, lived-in look that is desired by many. Unlike gold however, Platinum rings are 100% hypoallergenic and highly recommended for those with metal allergies or sensitive skin. Platinum is dense and therefore has a nice weight to it and has a natural silvery grey color that will not change or alter over time.
